Rebecca Boyd, Fire Pit Manager

Originally from Vancouver,  Becky  has been living in Prince George for 16 years.

Previously employed as a Human Resources professional, she found herself at Positive Living North through divine intervention. Coming to PLN in March of 2008 as the Administrative Support Worker, she found that in working on a daily basis with our Members, her passion for those living with HIV/AIDS grew, and she found herself wanting less to deal with paperwork and instead wanting to work the front lines.  Provided with the opportunity to work at the Fire Pit, she leaped and never looked back!

Becky enjoys her work at the Fire Pit - hearing stories told, traditions passed down - and has learned valuable life lessons from those who are struggling to meet their basic needs for food and shelter.  The lens through which she looks at life has been altered.  She  has developed friendships with many of our members and patrons and looks forward to continuing her work and personal growth.
